DIY Night Mask For Glowing Skin

At night our skin heals and repairs cells, balances oil production and expels impurities. This is the reason why what we put on our skin before going to bed is very crucial to our skin’s health. It’s also a really great time to reap the benefits of overnight face masks.

(Warning: These masks can get a little messy. If you want to avoid staining your favourite set of sheets, have an old pillowcase handy to use on these nights.)

Potato juice is known to be an effective anti-inflammatory ingredient. It’s also high vitamins A, B, and C. Green tea is high in antioxidants and contains catechins, which are antibacterial and powerful acne fighters.

1 tablespoon raw potato juice

1 tablespoon green tea

Take a clean, washed potato and juice it to extract 1 tablespoon of potato juice. Steep 2 bags of green tea in hot water for 10 minutes, then set aside to cool. Once cool, remove 1 tablespoon of green tea from the cup and mix it with the potato juice. Dip a cotton pad in the solution and apply to a clean face, taking your time to apply on any clogged areas or blemishes. In the morning use your normal facial cleanser and follow with your daily routine.

Olive Oil and Honey Hair mask works perfect for normal to dry hair and will help you to treat your dandruff, split ends and other hair problems quite easily. Its regular applications will give your hair a natural thickness and shine.


What you will need:
-4 tbsp of olive oil
-2 tbsp of honey

– Heat up the olive oil for 20 seconds in the microwave
– Mix in the honey
– Apply to you hair and put on a shower cap
– leave on the hair for 20 mins
– finish by rinsing your hair with shampoo and style as usual.

Home Remedies For Nail Growth

Everyone wants their nails to grow long and strong as they add beauty to our hands, so here are some Prity tips to help you achieve this 🙂

Nails are made of the same protein, called keratin, as that of hair. Fingernails grow faster than toenails, although growth is still very slow. On average, fingernails grow about one-tenth of an inch each month. But sometimes they grow even slower.

There are Several factors that contribute to slow nail growth. These include the ageing process, hormonal changes in the body, health problems, chemotherapy, medications and nutritional deficiencies. On the other hand, faster nail growth can be seen among children prior to puberty and pregnant women.

Slow or poor nail growth can also be accompanied by brittle nails, breakage, splitting and other nail problems.
Eating a healthy diet and following proper nail care are easy ways to keep your nails strong and growing at a healthy pace. You can also promote nail growth with some easy natural remedies using simple ingredients.

1. Olive Oil

To help growth, it’s important to keep your nails moisturise. Olive oil is the best when it comes to nail care. It penetrates deep into the skin and nails and therefore helps nourish your nails. It also contains vitamin E which improves blood circulation, which then helps to repair damaged nails and promotes nail strength and growth.

  • Before going to bed, apply warm olive oil to your nails and cuticles and massage gently for 5 minutes. Wear cotton gloves overnight. Do this once daily.
  • You can also soak your nails in warm olive oil for 15 to 30 minutes once daily to promote nail growth.

2. Coconut Oil

Coconut oil works well for healthy nail growth. It contains important nutrients to keep your nails moisturised and strong. It also strengthens your cuticles, which play a key role in nail growth. Plus, it helps cure hangnails, cuticle infections and fungal nails

  • Massage your nails and hands with warm extra-virgin coconut oil daily at night, before going to bed. Massage in circular motions to improve blood circulation.
  •  You can also prepare a nail soak. Mix 1/4 cup of organic coconut oil, 1/4 cup of honey and 4 drops of rosemary essential oil. Warm the solution in the microwave for 20 seconds. Soak your nails in it for 15 minutes. Follow this remedy one or two times a week.

3. Orange Juice

Another remedy that can boost nail growth is orange juice. Its vitamin C content encourages the production of collagen and keeps your nails healthy. Also, it has folic acid, which is essential for nail growth.

  • Soak your nails in fresh orange juice for at least 10 minutes.
  • Rinse them off with warm water, pat dry and apply some moisturise.
  • Follow this remedy once daily until you are satisfied with the results.

4. Lemons

Lemons contain vitamin C that is essential for nail growth. Also, it helps treat yellow nails and gives your nails a nice shine.

  • Prepare a nail soak with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Slightly heat the solution in the microwave and then soak your nails in it for 10 minutes. Follow this remedy daily.
  • You can also rub a slice of lemon on your nails for 5 minutes, then rinse them with warm water. Pat dry and apply a moisturiser. Do this once daily. Avoid rubbing lemon on your nails if you have any cuts or hangnails, as it may sting.

Lemon Juice!

Lemon juice contains natural astringent properties which tighten pores and reduces sebum secretion. It bleaches the skin to whiten the complexion with its natural acidic composition. Lemon juice is rich in vitamin C and anti-oxidants which help new skin cell growth and create a fair skin complexion.

– Avoid direct sunlight for 1 – 2 hours after application as lemon juice makes skin extra sensitive.
-Never ever apply lemon juice to open wounds.
-Use moisturiser as lemon juice can cause dry skin.
-Dilute lemon juice with water prior to application, especially if you have sensitive skin.


This process also prevents scars development.

-Cotton ball

-Use a cotton ball to apply lemon juice to the dark skin.
-Leave for 20 – 30 minutes and rinse with water.
-Repeat daily for best results.

1. Blend 1/2 a tomato into a smooth puree.

2. Combine the tomato puree with 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice.

3. Using a clean cotton ball, apply the mixture all over your face. Let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. When the time is up, rinse off with cold water. Pat dry.

4. Apply a drop of olive oil to moisturise.

We Would recommend doing this at home at least 1 or twice a week along with a treat facial at pritys once a month to really get rid of those unwanted blemishes and pigmentation problems.

Eat healthy foods that will keep your hair strong and lustrous.

Diet is a major factor in preventing and treating hair loss.

  • Essential fatty acids, especially omega-3 fatty acids, promote healthy skin, hair and nails. You should eat some of these foods, which are rich in omega-3, every day:

o    Salmon, tuna, mackerel, and other fatty fish

o    Flax seed oil

o    Walnuts, almonds, and milk

Often called ‘liquid gold’, Argan oil is an organic product extracted from the kernels of the argan tree. This tree can only be found in Morocco, so it is no wonder this oil is a very exclusive oil to get hold of pure. I got mine from Holland and barrett, 59ml for £12.99. Quite pricey but well worth it 😉 

It is extremely rich in beneficial nutrients including fatty acids and vitamin E. Its properties make it particularly beneficial for the hair, skin and nails, which makes it a popular cosmetic choice for many celebrities. It’s not just for the rich and famous, though – anyone can reap the argan oil benefits for their body.

Here are some of its most common uses:

Skin Moisturiser

Argan oil can be used as a skin moisturiser to hydrate and soften skin. With its high vitamin E and fatty acid content, argan oil is the ideal product to give skin a natural boost. It absorbs easily and is non-greasy and non-irritating, which makes it a great natural moisturiser.
